Attar (also spelled ittar) is a traditional perfume oil made entirely from natural botanical sources through hydro-distillation. Unlike modern perfumes, attars contain zero alcohol and no synthetic chemicals. They are concentrated oils that are applied directly to the skin.

Our attars typically last 8-12 hours on skin. Because they are pure oils (not diluted with alcohol), they release gradually throughout the day, evolving and changing character over time. Applying to pulse points and moisturized skin helps extend longevity.

Yes, all Itterio products are 100% cruelty-free. We do not test on animals, and none of our ingredients are derived from animal sources. Our attars are entirely plant-based.

A little goes a very long way. One or two small dabs on your pulse points (wrists, behind ears, inner elbows) is sufficient. Attars are highly concentrated — a 10ml bottle typically lasts 2-3 months with daily use.

Natural attars actually improve with age, much like fine wine. When stored properly (cool, dark place with the cap tightly closed), attars can last for years and often develop richer, deeper character over time.
